Woke up to some beautiful colorful scenes. These were outside our room windows.

Lovely and fancy breakfast.

And the cutest ginger-snaps with coffee! One of the host’s wife makes them homemade and the were delicious and adorable. They had a tea/coffee house we could visit anytime.

Kyoto Botanical Gardens. Caution: a flood of flower photos follows.

Pretty fountain

Many types of Bamboo

Bansai projects people were showing.

Flowers meant to impress the royals, chrysanthemum. Part of the imperial seal, fun fact, for quite a while, no one was allowed to use this flower as part of their seal for a long time on the orders of the Emperor.

Mascot

An aquatic adventure

Oh, and we’re here having a good time or something. (It was very warm and sunny that day)

Sat down for a snack. You can get some awesome coffee out of vending machines.

Beautiful themed plots.

Now into the Conservatorium.

Axolotl, they are adorable. There was an older Japanese couple behind us right around now that had a hearty chuckle about how excited we were to see them.

More plants

Arid Mountain (aka Colorado)

Spidey Bros (spider plants, what we are growing in our home)

Pretty flowers we couldn’t buy (orchid exhibit)

Japanese maple area, very beautiful colors.

Who dat girl (Matt being a creep)

BTW, that was only a filler in the morning.
