We traveled through the public trains to Tokyo station with these two huge suitcases, and Tokyo station is the biggest station in all of Japan. Got through and onto our Shinkansen, or the Bullet Train. It’s a train that goes super fast and it’s super smooth. You should reserve tickets in advance but not required, nice to have a window seat. Shinkansen goes zoooom.

Sansuiso in Tsuchiyaonsen, it’s an onsen, or a hotel with hot springs you can visit in it. Most have the more traditional rooms, so the tatami (straw) mats with the futon beds. We had a beautiful view through our windows. So there are multiple hot springs area, they are separated by gender. Two of them here were always male or always female, two of them would change at a certain time. You could tell by the color of the sign over the door to the hot spring. We wandered around the town, the town is entirely made of onsen. There is so much hot water that they had public hot spring foot baths, and the water running down the sides of the road and the stairs were all hot water. It was a beautiful place, especially in the fall. We also were warned of bears.

Walking around the town

Visit the konbini and meet some cats, where he got hassled for food. We should have taken the void.

Tuck in for a beautiful evening. The futon were very comfortable, very warm.
