Breakfast at the Ryokan. Then we took a taxi to our hotel in Kyoto next to Kyoto station.

Outer edge of Arashiyama, the Bamboo Forest. Probably the most tourist thing we did so far. I have to admit, the most rude people we met while in Japan were… other tourists.

Ditch the crowd with some hills, and see a beautiful overlook.



Calm walk along the river.
Find some dinner back in the city. Conveyer belt sushi which is all you can eat, and it’s really good quality for the price. You’d be easily be paying double for this in the US. Also the view from our new hotel room.
